Sony Can’t Help Kesha: Company Reveals It Can’t Dissolve Contract

can’t help Kesha – As Kesha continues to gather more support in her
case against producer Dr. Luke and Sony, the record company has revealed
it can do nothing to help her.

An attorney for Sony, Scott A. Edelman, has revealed that
it isn’t Sony’s place to annul the contract. “Sony is doing everything
it can to support the artist in these circumstances, but is legally
unable to terminate the contract to which it is not a party,” Mr.
Edelman said.
He added: “Sony has made it possible for Kesha to
record without any connection, involvement or interaction with Luke
whatsoever, but Sony is not in a position to terminate the contractual
relationship between Luke and Kesha.”
Dr. Luke on his part has
denied ever raping the pop star. “Kesha and I were friends for many
years and she was like my little sister.” He added, “Imagine if you or
somebody you loved was publicly accused of a rape you knew they didn’t
do. Imagine that.”
