Davido Celebrates His Deal With Sony Music In A Private Party

Davido Adeleke who recently signed unto the Sony Music Global brand was hosted to an uptown private party in Lagos. Media stars turned up to party with the ‘Dami Duro’ hitmaker and also got insight on what the Sony signing entails.
He revealed to those present at the event that he did not get on-board the prime music platform for a whole year as he wanted to make certain the fact he would ‘retain control’ over his work. He only accepted the offer when Sony accepted his terms.


In his words: ‘I spent almost a year going back and forth until this deal was actually completed. I wanted to make sure that I retained complete control over my work and that the terms of the deal were good for me. Now that this is done, I have several projects lined up. My album will be dropping later this year and we will be releasing a single this month. So expect bigger things!’.
Media personalities that turned up to party with the 23-year-old included Tosyn Bucknor, Lola Rae, Lola OJ and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi amongst others. The event was hosted by BlackHouse Media, Nigerian Entertainment Today and ID Africa.
